Read on below to find out more… \nFirst off… note that Children under 16 go Free! So a great excuse for a fun family day out. \nThere is a phased pricing structure on the run up to the show\, so book early for the best prices! \n  \nAbout The Show \nDid you know that our Sleap show is only 40mins/ 31miles down the road from our previous popular show location of RAF Cosford? Located just north of Shrewsbury. \nAfter we unfortunately lost our Cosford show site (which was out of our hands despite trying\, as the RAF have stopped all events at Cosford other than their own Airshow)\, we have since moved to the new location at Sleap Airfield/ Shropshire Aero Club! \nThis is a popular and active airfield in the full-size world\, with crossing tarmac runways\, its own on-site museum\, a cafe and many amazing aircraft based there. Returning for our 4th year in 2026\, each year we have been looking to improve the show\, working alongside the venue (who are supportive of our show). \n  \nWhat’s On? \nDifferent to our other model airshows\, our last show at Sleap had an approx 90mins lunch break for our RC pilots in the middle of the day to allow any full-size movements in/out of the airfield\, followed by our very own scheduled full-size air display from a number of display aircraft booked for the show. We are hoping to repeat this again for 2026! \nOf course we have our usual wide variety of large models in attendance\, which when operating from a cross runway\, allows us an unusual and extended radius to fly in\, along with the ability to alter takeoff/ landing areas to suit the weather conditions and pilots preference. \nThere are many new models/ pilots joining us for our 2026 shows\, along with some old LMA classics refurbished and brought back to the show scene\, so we really can’t wait to show them off to you all! \nFollow our social media pages (Facebook/ Instagram) to keep up to date with the latest announcements\, or visit our website event page. \n  \nTRADE \nWe have our amazing British RC hobby traders supporting the show alongside other/ arts/ crafts stalls. Checkout the website or our social media pages for the latest lineup. \n  \nSWAPMEET \nWe will also be looking to hold another one of our popular car-boot style swapmeets for the public to buy & sell any used items. If you are wanting to sell items at our swapmeet\, simply load your vehicle with used items\, turn up on the day and let the gate staff know you are selling in the swapmeet. A swapmeet pitch costs £20 on top of your show-entry price. This hidden gem has some fantastic aircraft on display\, from WW1 to post ware cold jets… including a Nimrod\, Victor\, Messerschmitt 109\, Dakota\, Halifax.. to name just a few. There is an added bonus that anyone with a show ticket\, will get a 10% discount on entry to the Museum. So why not make more of your weekend/ day at the show.. and visit the museum at the same time! \nIf you have never been to Elvington\, we think 2026 is the year to give it a go! DESCRIPTION:LMA GAYDON – LARGE MODEL STATIC INDOOR SHOW \nOur popular indoor static large model show returns to our usual slot in October for 2026! \nRead on below to find out more… \n  \nWhat’s On? \nThe show is open from 10am until approx. 4pm. \nIt gives you a chance to get up close and personal with many of the models that flew in this years shows\, as well as take a look at new upcoming projects being prepared for next year onwards. You can also get chance to chat to the builders/ pilots and take as many pics/ vids as you like. \nIncluded into the entry ticket is also access to the Motor Museum itself\, with over 300 cars out on display\, from old age classics to the latest supercars and everything inbetween. \nA great day out for all the family! \n  \nTrade \nWe have limited trade space at Gaydon\, but we certainly know how to fill it!! So get your wallets at the ready and prepare your vehicles to fill them full of end-of-season modelling goodies for your Winter builds! \nPerhaps you are looking to treat yourself to something new? We won’t tell\, we promise! \nTrade list will be announced nearer the time. \n  \nTickets \nTickets can be purchased online via the British Motor Museum website\, which will be posted once available nearer the time. \nNOTE – If you are an LMA or BMFA member\, you can get discounted entry on production of a valid membership card/ proof of membership. To do this\, simply turn up and pay on the day! \n  \nProgramme \nAlongside the models on display\, there will also be a dedicated space/ room for the Swapmeet. \nThe cost is just £20 per table on top of your entrance ticket\, which is payable on the day\, no pre-booking required. \nSetup for this will be between 8am-10am\, with access around the back of the Motor Museum building via the rear doors. After this time\, the doors will be locked and you will need to enter via the main entrance. \nWe also usually have some seminar style talks/ workshops taking place\, which will be announced nearer the time.
