DESCRIPTION:LMA ELVINGTON – LARGE MODEL AIRSHOW & FAMILY FUN WEEKEND \nThe LARGEST show in the North! Our most popular airshow returns to Elvington. Read on below to find out more… \nFirstly\, Children under 16 are FREE! So a great excuse for a fun family day out. \nTickets are sold in a phased basis\, so book early to get the best price! \n  \nAbout the show \nElvington is now the LMA’s largest and most popular show of the year\, attracting hundreds of visitors from around the country. \nDid you know\, the runway at Elvington is over 3000m (10\,000ft) long! \nFor 2026 we have lots of new ground attractions & even more traders. \nThe airfield is also home to York Air Museum! This hidden gem has some fantastic aircraft on display\, from WW1 to post ware cold jets… including a Nimrod\, Victor\, Messerschmitt 109\, Dakota\, Halifax.. to name just a few. There is an added bonus that anyone with a show ticket\, will get a 10% discount on entry to the Museum. So why not make more of your weekend/ day at the show.. and visit the museum at the same time! \nIf you have never been to Elvington\, we think 2026 is the year to give it a go! So if you haven’t already\, get the weekend booked into your calendar now! \n  \nWhat’s On? \nWe have some exciting plans in store for our Elvington show… stay tuned to our social media pages for the latest announcements & news! Once announced\, the info will be shared to the LMA website. \nOf course we have our usual wide variety of large models in attendance\, with the amazing site and airspace we have at Elvington\, this always attracts the best models in the country! There are many new models/ pilots joining us for our 2026 shows\, along with some old LMA classics refurbished and brought back to the show scene\, so we really can’t wait to show them off to you all! \nThere will also be a number of ground attractions\, with fun for all the family (see below). Please be aware this list can change at any time\, as exhibitor bookings can increase/ decrease right up until the show day itself! \nExhibitors/ Ground Attractions: \n\nIt’s a Knockout (Inflatable assault Course)\nKids Fun fair rides\nPre WW2 racing cars – CycleKarts Great Britain\nAirborne Comrades Association (Military display group)\nLarge RC off-road trucks/buggy racing\nRC Tanks\nRide-on miniature railway\nClassic Cars\nClassic Bikes\nBritish Model Flying Association (BMFA) will be offering trial flights\, for those wanting to have a go at flying an RC Plane\nLocal RC Clubs demonstrating aircraft & answering questions\n+ more TBC\n\n  \nTrade \nWe have our amazing British RC hobby traders supporting the show alongside other/ arts/ crafts stalls. See the current provisional list on the LMA website. \n  \nSwapmeet \nWe will also be looking to hold another one of our popular car-boot style swapmeets for the public to buy & sell any used items. If you are wanting to sell items at our swapmeet\, simply load your vehicle with used items\, turn up on the day and let the gate staff know you are selling in the swapmeet. A swapmeet pitch costs £20 on top of your show-entry price. No pre-booking required and is payable on the day. \n  \nCamping \nCamping is available on-site and we would love to build on this\, with evening entertainment from musicians\, fun fair rides\, food/ bar facilities open until late and some informal night flying fun! This went down well in 2025 and is being built on again for 2026! \nTickets are available to book online now! \nChildren under 16 are Free! \nCamping access is from 10am on Friday 7th August until 10am Monday 10th August. \nThere will be drinking water available onsite\, along with toilets & Elsan disposal points. \nOnsite entertainment in the evenings (Fri & Sat) with live music\, bar and food facilities open until late. \nThere will be some informal night flying to watch from the pilots. \n  \nTickets \nYou can book your tickets online now via the LMA website = Elvington Airshow – 8th-9th August 2026 – Large Model Association
